These nine paintings of the sky are painted directly on photographs. The original set of photos came from a discipline of taking a picture every five minutes in the same area of the sky. The subsequent paintings were all done in a continuous painting session. The presence of the paintings shifts the visual nature of the work from a photographic space to more physical painterly surface.
