Williamstown Sky Walk 07.19.2014 originated from a performative walk on the grounds of the Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, MA. Performed as a group walk on July 19, 2015, the three paintings follow the walk from the beginning until just before the end when we cut the walk short due to an incoming thunderstorm.
"We walk up the hill through the open meadow of the Clark Art Institute, aware of the thickening clouds approaching. The sounds of thunder becomes audible in the distance. Keeping our focus on the sky we make a quick accent up the hill, becoming enthralled with the diversity of cloud formations and the drama unfolding around us. Before we can luxuriate in the experience, we make our way down the hill seeking shelter under a protective roof to watch the torrential rain."
